Whatever Happened to Blue Dog?

In the mid-to-late 1990s, a panhandling pooch named Blue Dog marked Seattle’s Pioneer Square as his territory. Wearing a ball cap, sunglasses and vest, he would sit patiently with a paper cup in his mouth, giving puppy-dog eyes to passers-by in the hopes of getting some spare change, or at least a friendly pat on the head. He never lacked for either, as Pioneer Square regulars adored him. His best human pal, a friendly fellow transient, would usually be several feet away, keeping an eye on him.

Then, one day, both Blue and his companion seemingly disappeared. Repeated inquiries to locals over the years haven’t garnered any clues as to their whereabouts. So now we’re asking you, esteemed reader: whatever happened to Blue Dog? If you know, please clue us in by getting in touch with us on our contact page.
