Hooray for Hollywoodland

A note to eagle-eyed travellers on 167 South in Kent: don't panic if you see white letters spelling Hollywoodland; you didn't accidentally drive to California! A small replica of L.A.'s Hollywood sign (before “land” was removed in 1949) stands just off the highway, on a grassy mound, in a private storage yard. It's easiest to spot in winter, when foliage alongside the highway isn't obscuring the view. There are several other intriguing items further back on the property, such as old train cars and a shed with a water wheel.
